Mink farming: preliminary results

On a farm with 5000 breeding [female][female] and 2000 [male][male], a sample of 1036 [female][female] was studied, representing 3 colour varieties (Standard, Pastel and Buff), and 2 light regimes (providing 1500 and 550 lux resp.). Analysis of reproductive performance from 1981 onward showed highly significant effects of year of birth, parity and light regime, but no significant effect of variety.
