Whispering gallery mode resonators coated with active layers

Abstract:
Whispering-gallery-modes spherical microresonators may be coated with non-linear or doped materials in order to exploit their specific properties. We present the examples of a Kerr polymeric material and of rare-earth doped glass ceramics. © 2012 OSA.
