abstract:
Elastomers, their blends, and composites are very complex rheological fluids. During their production, they undergo numerous mechanical stresses and deformations. Therefore, manufacturing facilities should be designed and optimized taking into account the material response. The purpose of this chapter is to provide an understanding of rheological laws and to explain how these laws can be used to study the behavior of raw and vulcanized rubbers, and how their rheological properties can be measured in the laboratory.
