Evoluzione del popolamento bentonico insediato su substrati in calcestruzzo immersi in medio Adriatico

The benthic community settled on the vertical and horizontal walls of artificial concrete cubic blocks immersed in the Central Adriatic Sea was investigated for one year through grattages of 40x40 cm areas. Lower species richness nd species diversity values were generally recorded on the vertical walls in comparison with the horizontal ones where mud sedimentation also allowed the settlement of soft bottom species such as Prionospio cirrifera.
