Comunicazione/informazione in materia ambientale: metodi e strumenti a supporto dei processi partecipativi

This paper proposes some hints and remarks on the role and the meaning of public participation (why?, when? how? under what problems?), suggesting some tools and methodologies to support it and make it effective. Such tools and methodologies help to organise rationally the logical path and the information necessary for decision-making. Yet, in order to apply effectively the proposed approach to land planning and management processes, a cultural change is necessary, which implies the capacity and willingness to work in team, the willingness to share the information in an efficient and effective way, to reconsider over time one's own opinions and choices, and finally to make transparent the logical path leading to the decision.
