Abstract:
The authors compared the efficacy of an automatic monomode microwave peptide synthesizer vs. a traditional automatic peptide synthesizer in the solid-phase synthesis of two difficult peptide sequences. It was verified that the microwave-assisted solid phase synthesis is more convenient in terms of yield, purity, and reaction time for the prepn. of peptide gramicidin A and glycopeptide CSF114(Glc), previously shown to be difficult to obtain by conventional methods.
