abstract:
In the essay are collected the results of an experiment with students of the third, fourth and fifth year of a primary school in Genoa. They were asked to define, as a dictionary entry, the words that they themselves had chosen to define. The work focuses on the study of the evolution of the children defining abilities which from egocentric and personal become in three years more detached and "generalized" until afford an adult formulation of the definitions provided with examples without personal and emotional involvement.
