Abstract:
Robotic Videosurgery in the New Millenium: Topicals in Gynecology Laparoscopic surgery allows the surgeon to be able to conduct a minimally invasive surgery with grateful safety, but with limitations; computer-enhanced instrumentation has long been recognized for its potential to solve this limitations, for supporting video-manipulation and performing safe surgery. A surgeon is required to master difficult skills for this surgery to compensate for the narrow field of view, limitation of work space and the lick of depth sensation; robotic precision, as an emerging technology, is most useful for extremely fine dissection, for precise suturing in awkward or narrow anatomic locations.
