The Dynamical Ionosphere - Ch. 14 The Complex Ionosphere

In this chapter the dynamical equations for the ionospheric medium are presented, as a multi-fluid system. The essential assumptions under the fluid representation are indicated. Then, a development of the representation in terms of stochastic components is presented, as an attempt to encode the out-of-equilibrium behaviour of the turbulent medium.
