INCO-Med 5th Framework Programme for RT&D (1998-2002): An analysis of the distribution of participating entities and addressed fund by country and by priority sector

The Analysis aimes at addressing the participation, collaboration, coordination and co-financing of projects approved under the A3 part of the Second Activity of the 5th Framework Programme (1998-2002). The final goal is providing information useful to verify if - and at what extent - some of the objectives settled by EU for cooperation in Research and Technology Development with Mediterranean Partner Countries have been fulfilled. The book is divided in two main parts: the first concerns an analysis on participation and fund distribution by Country; the second one is aimed at analysing participation and funds by thematic sectors. The reports show the increasing of cooperation in selected thematic areas and points out, in the last part of the volume, the need to increase more and more cooperation with Mediterranean Partner Countries to create a Euro-Mediterranean Space fo Science and Technology.
