La teoría general de las obligaciones como elemento de unidad y resistencia del Subsistema jurídico latinoamericano

We expose about the offorts on unification of common private law in Latin America, especially about their works in obligation law, on context of Latin American Legal Sub System; the paradigmatic role of the obligation in that tradition, and its importance for safeguarding debtor's inalienability. Is underlined the centrelity of obligation in the Latin American Civil Code Systematic, considering the relevance of Roman law tradition in their countries. Finally we reflect on the development of a new "Framework Code of Obligations" for Latin America.
