Orbit effects on the particles and energy flow in the poloidal null region of a tokamak axisymmetric divertor

Ion transport through the separatrix of a tokamak with a poloidal divertor is reconsidered, to reconcile the interpretation of results from different diagnostics and understand the unexpected multiplet structure of the heat deposition on the targets.
