Cataloguing art objects: a comparison between french and italian standards

The methodologies adopted by the national cataloguing institutes of France and Italy are briefly compared, pointing out similarities and differences, from "intellectual" and "technical" point of view. A greater emphasis is put on the structuration of data as a mean for the exchange of the data.
