Recycling of postconsumer poly(ethylene terephthalate) and high-density polyethylene by compatibilized blending

Different compatibilization ways for improving the properties of scrap plastics (PET, HDPE) were investigated: melt blending of segregated polymers with addition of various compatibilzers, blending of commingled scraps with modified polymers and reactive extrusion with glycidylmethacrylate (GMA) monomer.
