BheST2009 - Built Heritage and Sustainables Technologies for survey and conservation

In the field of the knowledge and the conservation of the cultural heritage, the new scientific and entrepreneurial frontier have to head towards technologies and products for sustainable diagnosis, protection, conservation, restoration and exploitation of immovable and movable European assets, for the promotion of their value and of the quality of life. This position is based on the belief that both technological innovation and the innovation of process could allow to decrease or to postpone the decay or at least costs for maintenance and restoration. This is in line with the philosophy of developing sustainable technologies. With the term sustainable technologies we mean innovative technologies including methodologies, materials and instruments offered by research for diagnostics and monitoring actions and conservation planning. These processes concern also non invasive methods of analysis, documentation and monitoring, and in particular the sustainability diagnosis through images.
