Abstract:
The use of Scheduling techniques is usually limited to the resolution of complex optimization problems. This article shows how, in the context of the ROBOCARE Project, a state-of-the-art constraint-based Scheduling tool is orthogonally employed to monitor the daily activities of elderly and/or impaired people directly in their homes. This work shows how this objective requires an effective integration among domain modeling, problem solving, and execution monitoring services.
