Microscopic effects of polluted seasprayes on Pinus halepensis needles in El Saler (Valencia, Eastern Spain)

Stornata of Aleppo pine needles from the eastern Spanish coast were examined by scanning electron microscope to monitor the effects of polluted seaspray. Control trees showed significantly lower damage than the exposed trees (closest to the sea), and the stomatal damage was higher in the current+1 year needles than in current year needles.
