Abstract:
Emerging technologies for renewable energy conversion and storage are the focus of intensive research because of urgently needed enhancements in the efficiency and lifetime of energy devices such as a reduction in the use of materials, cost, ruggedness, and environmental impact. Recognizing the importance of this topic, the editors of this book selected and organized 13 chapters authored by experts in the field of materials science and energy. The main objective is to present the state of art of emerging materials for energy
conversion and energy storage technologies, including fundamentals, functionalities, challenges, and prospects of different classes of emerging materials for dedicated energy-related applications. The book is divided into five parts, each devoted to an important application of emerging materials in energy.
