Laser performance at room-temperature of diode-pumped Yb3+ :YLF and Yb3+:CaF2 crystals.

Abstract:
We report the laser performance of diode-pumped Yb3+:YLF and Yb3+:CaF2 crystals operating in Continuous Wave (CW) and quasi-CW lasing at room temperature with high efficiency power. Furthermore we probed thermal effects on the materials.
