PRELIMINARY EVALUATION OF A LABEL FREE IMPEDIMETRIC BIOSENSOR BASED ON CHOLINESTERASES FOR DETECTION OF ORGANOPHOSPHOROUS AND CARBAMIC PESTICIDES

Acetylcholine esterase (AChE) based biosensors are effective warning systems for screening pesticides content on large number of samples. Several biosensors based on the measurement of the residual activity of AChE have been developed in the past. In this paper we describe and propose preliminary results of a label free biosensor based on AChE and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy which doesn't require kinetic measurement of the residual activity of the enzyme at the ppb level.
