Terminologia giuridica e inclusione: un glossario digitale semplificato in materia di immigrazione

The idea of the glossary presented in this paper comes from the development of the PAeSI Portal which provides information on Italian immigration laws and procedures. In simplifying the PAeSI information sheets on administrative procedures for the migrant audience, some technical terms relating to institutions and procedures were not replaced because knowing them was considered essential for migrant inclusion in the host society. A glossary that explains those legal and bureaucratic terms was therefore created, taking into account the users' information needs and language skills. It was designed according to the User Centered Approach that involves recipients and stakeholders in the design process.
