A characterization of centers of maximal balls in the <3,4,5> weighted distance transform of 3d digital objects

A characterization of the centers of maximal balls, CMB, in the <3,4,5> weighted distance transform of 3D digital objects is introduced, which allows one to select CMB useful for different image processing tasks, such as object recovery, object decomposition and skeletonization.
