The implementation of abstract objects in a capability based addressing architecture

The problem of implementing abstract objects in a system having a capability based addressing is analysed in some detail. Hardware features needed to support a classical capability environment are pointed out first and a simple implementation of abstract objects is presented. A generalization of the classical capability environment for solving the stated problem in a more efficient way is then given.
