ZONE RIFUGIO PER LA SOGLIOLA IN ADRIATICO CENTRO-SETTENTRIONALE: OSSIMORO O CASO DI STUDIO?

The spatial distribution of common sole adults in the northern and central Adriatic Sea has been analysed together with the spatial patterns of "rapido" trawl fishing effort and holothurians and bryozoans assemblages. Areas not suitable for the "rapido" trawl activity due to the high occurrence of megazoobenthos represent refugium zones with important implications for the stock sustainability.
