From computational infrastructure to computational environment | De la infraestructura computacional al ambiente computacional

In this short contribution I provide an overview of the current computational infrastructures available at Sissa/Democritos joint research centers. I describe the computational research activities within the center that motivated the need for the computational resources and the technical choices done so far. I then go over our present vision to move from a standard computational infrastructure toward a complete and integrated computational framework we refer to as the Computational Environment.
