All-optical simultaneous stimulation and readout of motor cortex activity in Awake Mice

Abstract:
Excitation spectra overlap between fluorescence indicators and optogenetic tools limits the development of an all-optical system for neural circuits interrogation. Here we describe how we solved the puzzle by combining red-shifted GECI with Channelrhodopsin 2.
