Abstract:
Aerial survey is one of the most effective non invasive methods for the archaeological prospection Historically, aerial photography has been the first remote sensing tool extensively used for digital archaeology for surveying emerging archaeological remains as well as for detecting underground archaeological structures through the reconnaissance of the so-called "soil", "crop," marks" and "shadow" marks. Today aerial survey offers a suite of survey techniques, that can be tailored to the specific characteristics and needs of each specific site or landscape
