Stereocontrolled addition of boron enolates to trans a,b-aziridine aldehydes. A new route to anti-1,2-amino alcohols

A study of the addition of oron enolates of methyl ketones to trans alpha,beta-azindine aldehydes is reported. The reaction proceeds with excellent anti stereoselectivity furnishing functionalised products, capable of other controlled transformations, some of which are described. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
