Yersinia pseudotuberculosis in a persian cat

Yersinia pseudotuberculosis is a well established pathogen.A number of sporadic cases have provided evidence of Y.pseudotuberculosis infection in cats,but as far as we can ascertain,the disease has been reported to be confined to free-ranging cats.No references to cats raised in apartments can be found in the literature.This letter records the isolation of this pathogen from a persian cat.
