Fraunhofer critical-current diffraction pattern in annular Josephson junctions with injected current

We show that in a small annular junction the injection of a local current in one of the two ring electrodes causes that Josephson critical current to modulate according to the Fraunhofer pattern. Such an injection results in a field/current configuration that mimics the trapping of fluxons in a small annular junction.
