Natural rubber-layered silicate nanocomposites: non linear dynamic behaviour and viscoelastic properties

This work is aimed at studying the dynamic and viscoelastic behaviour of elastomer / layered silicate nanocomposites. Natural rubber (NR) / organomodified montmorillonite (MM) samples at different MM percentages are obtained by melt blending and sulphur vulcanization. A microstructural analysis was performed by TEM and compared with results obtained from tensile and dynamic-mechanical analyses.
