Early diagnosis of focal myocarditis by cardiac magnetic resonance

Early diagnosis of focal myocarditis can be difficult. We report two cases of myocarditis in young patients diagnosed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. The method was able to recognise the focal edema in the early phase of inflammation. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
