STUDIES ON THE STRUCTURE OF CALLIACTINE, THE ZOOCHROME OF THE SEA-ANEMONE CALLIACTIS-PARASITICA

Chemical and spectroscopic investigations led to four possible structures (9-12) for calliactine, the pigment of the sea anemone Calliacties parasitica. Structure 9 is preferred, although structures 10-12 cannot be definitively ruled out.
