Trichoferus holosericeus is a wood-feeder Cerambycidae that can grow in wood with a moisture content below to the fibre saturation point, it can develop in wooden artefact of various hardwood specie, not necessary recent: it is one of the most important Cerambycide exploiter of broadleaves woods in the Mediterranean area.
