Availability of medicines in the European Union. The case of antiplatelet medicines

Several antiplatelet agents are licensed in the European Union countries. Of these agents only a limited amount (simvastatin, pravastatin, fluvastatin, atorvastatin and cholestyramine) are available in all the EU Member States. 13 agents are available in only one or two countries. Italy and Spain are the countries with the highest number of medicines licensed only in the country.
