Il sistema piemontese delle nanotecnologie

This work presents a descriptive analysis of the Regional System of Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences of Piedmont, an Italian Region located in the north-west of the Country. In a previous work we presented a bibliometric analysis of the scientific publications and analyzed regional nanotechnology patents. This paper instead presents: the full description of the nanoscience research topics undertaken by the researchers of the public research bodies; some Regional initiatives supporting research, innovation and technology transfer, both specific to nanosciences and nanotechnologies and generally addressed to regional development; a sample of firms (mainly micro and SMEs) and their potential of collaboration with research. At the end the work also resumes results and offers suggestions for future regional development.
