Le nanotecnologie e le nanoscience in Piemonte: introduzione teorica e dati

This work presents a descriptive analysis of the Regional System of Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences of Piedmont, an Italian Region located in the north-west of the Country. As far as the research is concerned, it contains a bibliometric analysis of the scientific publications. On the side of technologies, this research report describes and analyses regional nanotechnology patents. A second paper will follow to fully describe the nanoscience research topics undertaken by the researchers of the public research bodies and a sample of firms (mainly micro and SMEs) and their potential of collaboration with research At the end it will introduce Regional initiatives supporting research, innovation and technology transfer and will resume results and offer suggestions for future regional development.
