Contributo alla biologia di Galeus melastomus Rafinesque, 1810 nel Mar Jonio.

Biometric data of Galeus melastomus have been collected during the trawl surveys carried out during 1985-1987 in the Ionian Sea. It has been shown that the poulation is mostly makes up by youngs from March to September. It seems that Galeus melastomus reproduces from the end of February to September and laies eggs at a depth comprised between 200 and 600 m.
