Physiographic zoning of the Venetian Lagoon

The present paper is a synthetic report of the result achieved by WP1 ("Definition of environmental typologies") of Research line 3.11 ("Indicators and Indices of environmental quality for the lagoon of Venice) included in the 2004-2006 CORILA Research Project. This work was aimed to delineate, on physiographic and mesological basis, a hierarchical system of homogeneous environments within the Venetian Lagoon.
