The storage proteins of Phaseolus lunatus seed: phaseolin and lectin-related proteins

This article reviews the major storage proteins of Lima bean (Phaseolus lunatus L.), phaseolin and lectin-related proteins. Their synthesis, structure, variation, use as markers to assess biodiversity and model for molecular evolutionary studies are described.
