Excess molar enthalpies of binary mixtures containing pine resins in the range 288.15-313.15 K, and at atmospheric pressure. Use of the extended cell model of Prigogine

Excess molar enthalpies, HmE, of binary mixts. contg. (S)-(-)-limonene + a-pinene, + b-pinene, or + p-cymene were detd. using a flow microcalorimeter in the range 288.15-313.15 K, and at atm. pressure. The HmE are always pos., not exceeding 114 J×mol-1, and curves show a sym. trend. The temp. dependence of the calorimetric data is slight. Results were correlated to the Redlich-Kister polynomial and the adjustable parameters were detd. by the least-squares method. Results were also interpreted by an extended modified cell model of Prigogine.
