Sharing Multimedia Data over a Client-Server Network

In building the architecture for a shared database for radiological images, we defined a client-server model that can also be applied to other networks servizing multimedia informations. We conceived the system as part of a project to establish a communication network among European Medical Centers. The open environment preserves each medical center's specific knowledge and local autonomy.
