Abstract:
Archaeological and historic metal artefacts made of iron, copper and silver alloys from the mediterranean are often found in museums in poor state of conservation due to the uncontrolled environmental conditions and are in urgent need of new conservation straegies, Under the auspices of the 6th framework priority INCO PROMET project, innovative protection systems are being developed with the cooperation of 21 Partners from 11 Countries of the Mediterranean basin : Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Malta, Morocco, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey and including Czech Republic.
