Abstract:
The reactivity of (-)-(aS,bS)-a-Hydroxy-N-methyl-b-(methylamino)benzenepropanamide w (contg. three nucleophilic centers) was studied against dihaloalkanes and aldehydes. Hexahydro-4-pyrimidinones or oxazolidines were obtained chemoselectively. Exptl. results were explained by ab initio calcns
