Abstract:
Excavations1 undertaken since 2002 at Priniàs2 revealed new remarkable data
about the history of the area on which the temple was built during the late 7th
century B.C. The reconstruction of the history of this area plays an essential role
in understanding the way in which the temple was introduced into the urban
context and in visualizing its impact . This matter is strictly tied with the
reassemblage of the sculptural fragments. In the recent field works, new findings
of sculptural and architectural decoration fragments have been an invaluable help
to the project of study and reassemblage of the whole complex.
