Similarities Between Hydride Precipitation in Metals and a Phase Transformation in YBa2Cu3O7-x Due to Oxygen Reordering.

The characteristics are presented of a phase transformation recently discovered in Y-Ba-Cu-O, which starts near 240 K and develops on cooling with a slow kinetics. This transition has features very similar to those of the hydride precipitation in transition metals.
