Abstract:
A mild, efficient and regioselective method for the selective
halogenation
of flavonoids is presented. Halogenated flavanones and flavones are
considered potential benzodiazepine receptor ligands and with DMD/NaX or
oxone/acetone/water/NaX systems they can be synthesized in preparative
amounts
