Internet domains and Internet diffusion: looking for a new metric. The case study of Italy

This paper reports about the results of the study that has been conducted on information stored in the database of the .it ccTLD domain names, for detecting the presence of empirical regularities in domain names registrations. The new endogenous metric of "domain names" for studying and analysing the Internet diffusion in Italy has been used and the results verified.
