When viewed through the lens of the myth, tradition and socio-cultural prac-tices in antiquity, the relationship between Original and Copy has little meaning. In ancient Greece, original creation and repetition are two sides of the same coin. As well argued recently, the Greek polis, always emphasising collective values, has evolved by continuously recreating myths and traditions through their repetition as well as their modification.
