Un profilo musicato: Genova attraverso le voci della canzone d'autore

This essay focuses on the city of Genoa as this is told by the lyrics of pop and folk music and also, partially, by the verses of Genoan poets. While the investigation outlines the portrait of the city through multiple voices and notes, the author uses the non-material cultural heritage as a tool for tracing the deep bound among territory, cultural identity and songs, those meant both as an expression of the single lyrical voice and as an expression of the community which makes them their owns.
